For donations of cash or checks you do not have to enter any details. Just enter one charity called "Various" (or any name you like) and enter a single donation of the total amount that you donated for the year. The total amount is the only thing that actually appears on your tax return. Keep your records of the details in case the IRS questions your deduction.
If your total non-cash donations, such as clothing, are $500 or less you can similarly enter a single charity with one donation of the total amount. If your total non-cash donations are more than $500 you do have to enter each donation separately.
