How do I enter info to generate form 1116 for foreign tax credits?

If it's not paid on interest, dividends, or capital gains (it's reported on those separate income forms), then a Form 1116 needs to be filed out.

To generate an 1116:

1.  Click Federal on the left-hand side menu.

2.  Click Deductions & Credits across the top.

3.  Scroll down to Estimates and Other Taxes Paid and click Show more.

4.  Click Start or Revisit by Foreign Taxes.
