How do i claim energy star credits

Depending on the improvements made to your home, you may be able to deduct your purchases in the Energy-Saving Home Improvements section of the program. To check:

1. Open your return, if you don't already have it open.
2. Click My Account in the top right corner
3. Then, Tools
4. Then, Topic Search
5. Search for energy improvements. (Do not search for "energy credit," as this will take you to the wrong place in the program.)
   
6. Click Go
7. Follow the interview from here
