How do I calc my milage exp . I drove 70 miles each trip for 75 trips to the DR.?

In order to claim your mileage for medical visits, you must itemize your deductions.  Medical miles are considered medical expenses on Schedule A.  Once you put in the total miles driven, TurboTax will calculate the dollar amount of the deduction based on the IRS standard mileage rate for 2018.  

Here's how you enter your medical mileage:

1.  Click Federal on the left-hand side menu.

2.  Click Deductions & Credits across the top.

3.  Scroll down to Medical and click Show more.

4.  Click Start or Revisit by Medical Expenses.
