How can I tell if I am taking a standard deduction or itemized

If you are still working on your return you can see which deduction you are taking by following the steps below.

Open and continue your return
Go to My Account > Tools
Topic Search and type 'standard deduction'
From the box select 'standard deduction and exemptions' and click Go.
This page will tell you what you are currently taking. TurboTax automatically chooses the deduction that gives you the highest tax break. You have the option to change this selection.

You can also preview your 1040 to see if you took the standard deduction or are itemizing.
