How can I itemize deductions for my Kentucky state return without itemizing deductions for my Federal return?

In order to itemized your deductions for your KY return, you will need to enter the information for the allowed deductions into your Federal return.

This is true even if you use the standard deduction on your Federal return because the information about the deductions is transferred from your Federal return to the KY return.
