Dependents are entered in MY INFO. You need your child's Social Security number.

Make sure you have entered your child as a dependent in My Info, and that you have entered the child's Social Security number. Careful— do not say that your child’s SSN is not valid for employment. If your child was born in 2025 make sure you said he lived with you the whole year. There is an oddly worded question that asks if the child paid over half their own support. Say NO to that question.

In the Personal Information section of your return. When you open your tax return go to 'My Info' then select 'Your Household' to enter your child.

Enter the name as it appears on the Social Security card and the correct social security number (SSN) for your child.
Follow the screen prompts to complete your entry.
As indicated by @xmasbaby0, the question about whether your child paid more than half of their own support should be 'No' for a new born baby.
