Home Energy Credit: I purchased an energy saving furnace ($2,770.00). At the end of the process Turbo Tax states no credit. Can I receive any return for this?

Unless it was a geothermal unit, there is no Federal Energy Saving Credit for that for 2018 Federal taxes.

The Feds could pass a retroactive law to allow it, but I haven't seen anything to indicate they are working on it (yet)

It was still a good idea to enter that though...some states have an energy credit, and IF..if..if your state has one, it might be applied when you eventually go thru the stare taxes sections.

There's still Solar/Wind and geothermal credits

....just not the former home upgrade energy credits for insulation, windows, AC, (non-geo) Heating and the like...sorry
