Hi,
I was expecting to get a $500 credit for doors since I installed 3 sliding doors in 2025 - I've read that you can get up to $250 per door. However, I am just getting $250.
Why isn't 19g updating to a number? It should be $250 since I installed multiple doors. Does Turbo Tax have a bug?

It is doing the calculation correctly now after the latest Turbo Tax update (March 12).
@DaveF1006 @Vanessa A, what would happen to people that submitted their taxes prior to this bug fix? People would have missed out on part of their tax credit.
We are aware of this issue and currently looking into it. The IRS has issued a correction to the 2025 Instructions on their end.
Although, the IRS is saying March 6, if this is the date that they will have the forms corrected, TurboTax software will take a little bit to then make the changes. This should fix the issues with numbers not appearing correctly for the home energy credit.
Thanks @Vanessa A for the response.
I do not have joint occupancy. Should it still be making the incorrect calculation for me?
Possibly. The issues with a few different things on this form started right around the time this release was issued. At this point, many people are having their returns with form 5695 rejected so it may or may not be related, but it has been sent up the chain to be fixed.

It has absolutely nothing to do with the rejection problems, it is purely a math error by TurboTax.
Line 19g says to multiple Line 19f by 30% and the screenshot shows that TurboTax is not doing that. Is TurboTax really that bad at math?
@Vanessa A, any update on when the TurboTax calculation error is going to be fixed? I just opened TurboTax today and still see the same error. Is everyone using turboTax still having this problem? I imagine that many people may have already filed that didn't even notice the error.
There was an announcement that stated an ETA on Friday, March 13. Check back after that time to check if the update has been applied.

Good to hear! They can amend to claim the credit if it were missed in their original filing.

Will they be notified about the error in their filed tax return?
