If the shrubbery was planted for your own home it is not deductible at all.  Improvements to your persona residence are not deductible.  Save your records for someday when you sell the house.

If this was for a rental property you own post back for further help.

Deducted as what?  Is this in your business?  For a rental house?  Personal expenses are not deductible.

Sorry ... that was an important information that I left out.  The bushes were planted at a rental house and were planted because I lost several trees due to fires in California.

These plants are for a rental place.  Originally I had three trees but they were killed by a recent fire in California.  The plants are to replace them.

Sorry ... yes this was for a rental unit.  I had multiple trees but they got burned by a fire in California.  These plant/bushes are a replacement
