Hey, can anyone answer why TurboTax isn’t filing taxes but keeps saying waiting on forms 5695 home improvement when they’ve been released by the IRS?

Sorry you have to wait.  Home Energy Credit Form 5695 is not ready yet.  It still has the old amounts.  It is currently scheduled to be available on 2/7/24 (subject to change).

The IRS has not updated the Form 5695 instructions for tax year 2023, they are still in draft mode - https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-dft/i5695--dft.pdf

The Form 5695 Residential Energy Credits for tax year 2023 has not yet been finalized in TurboTax.

The Form 5695 is scheduled to be available in TurboTax on 02/07/2024 (subject to change).

"released by the IRS" is not the same as formatted and approved by the IRS for use in tax software.  

Many federal and state forms are not yet available.  Check here for form availability. The dates are subject to change.

Exactly 12 forms as of today.  Can't say how many have been dates have been extended weekly since Jan 4th
