Hello..my best friend had a baby this summer.and I've been helping her with expenses..she doesn't live with me.Can I still use her child on my taxes?

NO. In order to claim a child who is not related to you as a dependent, the child would have to live in your home for the whole year (or in this case since the child was born). You cannot claim anything for helping out your friend. You are doing something kind, but this would be considered a gift. Gifts to individuals are not deductible.
