Hello, I am trying to get a tax deduction on my LPN exam and licensing. Where do I do that?

If this is your first time taking the exam and getting licensed, you could not deduct those expenses, as the cost of qualifying  for a new profession are not deductible.  If you are already working as an LPN and these are renewal expenses, you would deduct them under unreimbursed job related expenses.

Enter the words job related expenses in the Find window on the upper right, hit Enter, then click the Jump To that appears below.

These are one part of your itemized expenses and you will not benefit from itemizing until all your itemized expenses exceed your standard deduction.

Also, for this type of deduction, 2% of your Adjusted Gross Income is subtracted and then you can only deduct the amount over 2%.

If you do have enough expense to switch to itemized deductions you will have to upgrade to Deluxe to complete them all.
