Form 5695 - Missing QMID

I filed Form 5695 to claim the tax credit for a new heat pump (installed in 2025).

My form includes a QMID, which I looked up several times, and have since re-confirmed on the manufacturer's website.

The IRS has sent a letter stating that the QMID on my Form 5695 is missing or incomplete.

Has anyone else had this issue? And do I just need to re-submit the form to the IRS?

Yes, you just need to print the form out again from TurboTax. Then, follow the instructions on the IRS notice to send the completed updated form to the IRS. If you are using TurboTax Desktop, make sure you check for updates first by going to the top menu, and selecting Online, then Check for updates.
