Foreign tax credit

I entered foreign income on "Foreign Earned Income", which ends up on "Income 1h Other earned income" and payed foreign income tax on it. When I try to claim the foreign tax, by entering information on form 1116, it comes back with "0 Foreign income" Am I entering it wrong or is it not carrying over properly?

To clarify, did you claim  Foreign Income Exclusion in your return?

I did not. I think I have to specify the income on the questions for Form 1116, but I'm struggling.

I'm not sure which category it falls under (It's income from foreign social security and pensions)
