Foreign Tax Credit

Where do l find foreign dividends earned? My 1099-DIV shows foreign taxes paid, but not foreign dividends earned. Do I add up dividends from1099-B where I see a foreign tax being applied and subtract that from total dividends?

Foreign Tax Credit

Your broker should have provided that information in one of the appendices of your 1099-DIV.  But if they didn't then adding up all of the dividend amounts that have foreign taxes paid on them will do the trick.

I said 1099-B, I meant detail section of 1099 DIV. I was able to add them up (O and Q) and get a total that way. Thanks for the help.
