To clarify, what type of foreign income are you reporting to receive the credits?
Thanks. Taxes paid on foreign stock investments. Doesn't matter now, the data entry for this in TurboTax online doesn't work when you choose to take a credit. After entering just a few country's tax amounts, it judges me done and moves on. I had 16 countries to enter, couldn't get it done. I ended up taking a tax deduction instead of a credit.
I may be done with TurboTax after many years. It's just very frustrating when the application itself doesn't work, the help files are antiquated and the menu options they suggest don't exist. And you cannot get a person on the telephone unless you pay for a Tax Expert when all I need was an Application Expert since it wouldn't work as it should. Anyway, rant over, taxes filed. I've got a year to find a good tax preparer. Thanks again.
