Foreign spouse doesn't have final SSN with changed last name.

We are in the process of getting her official green card through the USCIS. She has a social security card with a SSN that says 'Valid for work only with DHS authorization' that has her maiden name on it. We can't get an updated social security card until USCIS finishes, which could take up to 90 days. Can I use this SSN for my spouse? If so, should I use her maiden name since that is what is on her card, or her new last name? In case it matters, she did not work in 2016 and I am filing jointly.

Use the social security number and name on the card she currently has. It must match the social security administration records and that's what they have in their records.
