For the Child and Dependent Care Credit, does our care provider (babysitter) have to pay taxes on the income she receives from our payments in order for us to qualify?

For the Child and Dependent Care Credit, does our care provider (babysitter) have to pay taxes on the income she receives from our payments in order for us to qualify?
No. Does she have to pay taxes on the income? Yes.
Does that have anything to do with you or your ability to claim it? No.
If you put the payments to her on your return, and the income is not on her return, that could be a problem for her.
So, it doesn't have anything to do with your ability to claim it.... but you obviously should consider that.

No. Does she have to pay taxes on the income? Yes.
