Only if you report the full price as taxable income. Otherwise, you have less income because of the deduction so you pay less tax. You can't take an additional deduction from income you didn't get.

If a charitable donation was made to an organization 2-3 months before they became a 501c3 but in the same tax year, can it be counted as a deduction?
