Expense deduction even if I don't make any

So I have 2 jobs : 1 main one and 1 part time job as Real Estate Agent. I just started in Nov last year as Realtor and I made no income at all from the Real Estate. However, I had to pay a lot of fees, advertising fees, travel for Real Estate job. Can I still deduct them as expenses ? Turbo tax want me to input my income in but I had none. Please help. Thanks

You are allowed to deduct any ordinary and necessary business expenses you paid during the year, even if you had no income.

When you come to the input screen for your income, simply do not enter anything. Work through the other screens that come up (business information, etc.) and then you will be able to enter your expenses.
