Energy Star A/C credit

I am trying to get my $500 energy star Air Conditioner credit. when I fill out the energy saving deduction worksheet, I get a "$0" credit. my Energy star AC was $8523.00 am I doing something wrong?

The credit can only be used against federal taxes on the return ... so did you enter your income yet ?

Thank You, you are correct, I have not entered my income yet, so there was nothing to give a deduction too.😯
