Hi, hoping someone can help. When I punch in my Tesla model 3 information, purchased and put in service 3/2019, it first says $3750 tax credit, but then changes it to $1875. I click on "why the difference" and there's no help available. I know the credit can't be greater than line 12B of the 1040, and it's not (line 12b is in the 6k range). Why is it halving my electric vehicle credit? I've searched the forum but had no luck finding the exact problem. Thanks in advance!

There was a calculation issue with this form last month. The calculation issue has been corrected but you will need to delete Form 8936 and re-enter to get TurboTax to calculate it correctly. If you are using TurboTax Desktop, use Forms mode to delete the form. Here is the general procedure for viewing the forms list and deleting unwanted forms, schedules, and worksheets in TurboTax Online:
That appears to have done the trick, thank you very much for your help!
