The may be referring to the Earned Income Tax Credit (not deduction) of up to $6660, based upon your income and number of children. The program calculates this for you after you enter your dependents in Personal Info, and your income data in Federal > Wages and Income. See:

The credit appears on line 27 of Form 1040.
I note that you are asking from TT self-employed. For purposes of the EITC, the IRS looks at your profit (not gross income) from self-employment, and requires you to claim all of your self-employment expenses.
