Why is my 2021 Turbo Tax desktop version allowing me the EITC if I am over the age of 65? Has there been a change to the law for the 2021 filing year? I'd like to know before I file so that I am not submitting an incorrect return.

Yes. For 2021 only, the upper age limit has been completely removed, which means that taxpayers over 65 can now claim the EIC during the 2021 tax year.

For tax year 2021 the upper age limit of 65 has been removed for EITC.
