The amount contributed to a dependent care FSA does not appear in Box 10 of w-2. How do I handle this?

Double-check with your employer and payroll processor.  If you had (pre-tax) FSA amounts used towards daycare, those amounts should be reported in box 10, because that needs to be reconciled on your tax return.  If they are not reported, you want to request a corrected W-2 before you file so that your return can be correctly reported and processed.  (Otherwise the IRS may delay things).  

If they cannot give you a corrected W-2, then it will be necessary to report the information manually, which takes more work.  So if you can get a corrected W-2, that is best, and if not, please comment us so that we can assist you.
