Does personal Property Taxes include taxes paid when purchasing a new car?

I believe taxes paid when purchasing the vehicle will fall under 'sales tax' and would be covered under that section.  There is a choice to be made when submitting sales tax item as to if you want to use a standard sales tax deduction or itemize because actual tax is greater than the standard because of items purchased.  The other personal property tax encountered with a vehicle purchase would be the tax involved with the registration of the vehicle- my state calls it the Vehicle License Tax.  It should be a line item on your registration form.  Good Luck, and use the Turbo Tax search engine as much as possible.
