Does anyone know about cryptocurriencies? I haven't sold any of them but the entry box says "net proceeds". Should I just calculate the change in value during 2017?

If you trade cryptocurrencies, you only have to report the capital gains or losses when you sell them. If you have not sold any cryptocurrencies in 2017, you have nothing to report on cryptocurrencies on your tax return.
