No, you can't include the cost of meals (that aren't part of inpatient care) in medical expenses For example, you can't deduct meals you pay for while traveling to a hospital or other medical facility.

Meals and lodging provided by a hospital during medical treatment may be deductible.

I put in all of my medical expenses, which were 6000 double what I needed. And it didn’t help I didn’t change anything. Why?
