Do I split the expenses for vehicles used for self-employment by amount of time driven if I changed vehicles during the year or just enter date that happened?

You will split the expenses for the vehicles based upon the miles each vehicle was used for business purposes. 

If you replaced one vehicle with another you should show the change in vehicles on your Schedule C.

You will split the expenses for the vehicles based upon the miles each vehicle was used for business purposes.
