@Cesar-Hechanova , hola senor!
Where are you on form 8938 -- I am assuming that you are referring to the FATCA form 8938 --yes?
Or are you saying that you checked the box on line 3 of the form -- declaring what you are i.e. "a trust" instead of a "specified individual" ?
Generally an error on 8938 does not require you to file a whole amended return --- you always correct the form only and mail it in to the IRS -- it should then correct your account.
NO. I erroneously checked the box YES on line 7a and b. Do I need to file for an amended Federal Tax Return to correct the error?
Generally, no, you do not need to file an amended return (Form 1040-X) just to change a "Yes" to a "No" on Schedule B, Part III. The IRS typically requires an amended return if there is a change in your tax liability, income, credits, or deductions. Checking "Yes" instead of "No" on the foreign account in question is considered an "administrative" or "informational" error.
