Only enter the actual amounts that you made to charitable organizations for your charitable deductions.

You can deduct charitable contributions on your Schedule A as an itemized deduction and your contribution must be made to qualified organizations.

Are you asking about the new Charity deduction of 1,000/2,000?

The new charitable deduction is available starting in the 2026 tax year, not 2025. So when we file next year. Taxpayers will be able to deduct up to $1,000 (for single filers and those married filing separately) or $2,000 (for married couples filing jointly). It's not clear if that will be an above-the-line deduction or not.
