Do I do both of our "mock" MFS returns claiming all four of our children as dependents, but only 50% of the child care costs for each MFS return?
I need to create two "mock" MFS returns because we must do our state returns separately. We have four children...so I am beginning the first "mock" return and I am unsure of how to claim all four of our dependents. 1. Do I claim all four dependents on each "mock" MFS return? 2. Do I just divide by 2 for the childcare costs we paid on each "mock" MFS return?

No. MFS doesn't get child care credits.
