Divorced in 2017 and ex was the main person on the mortgage however I now own the marital home. Can I claim the mortgage interest and property tax?

Yes.  Since you have an ownership interest in the home, if you itemize you may claim the portion of the mortgage interest and property taxes that you actually paid.

If the payments were made out of a joint account prior to the divorce, you're considered to have paid 50% of that portion.
