Divorce decree in 2020 stipulates Community Property terminated earlier in the same year and that 2020 is to be filed separate. Am I supposed to include their W-2? TurboTax auto-imported it.

It sounds like you are divorced at the end of 2020.  If that is correct, you will need to review your input in the My Info section of the program to update your filing status.

Log back into TurboTax.

  1. On the black panel on the left, select My Info
  2. Select Edit to the right of your name
  3. You will be able to edit your personal information in this section as well as change your filing status, removing your spouse's information, etc. in this section.

If your spouse's W-2 information is still listed, you can also delete it by doing the following to ensure it is not reported on your income tax return.

Go to the Federal section of the program.

  1. Select Income & Expenses
  2. Select Job (W-2)
  3. Click Edit/Add to the right of the Job (W-2)
  4. To the right of the W-2, click on the little trash can to delete the input.

That's correct. Marriage was dissolved by decree in the same year.
