CT-1040 Property Tax Credit section not giving me option to add Cars

I am using the Desktop version of TurboTax to file my taxes this year. Last year I entered the property taxes paid on two cars in order to receive the credit. This year, after entering the taxes paid on my primary residence, I did not get the option to enter the taxes paid on my two cars. Is this a way to fix this?

You can deduct The Property Tax you paid to your city or county based on your vehicle's value.

You will report it under Personal Property Taxes in the Federal section. TurboTax will carry over the information to your CT return.

  1. Open your return
  2. Go to Federal
  3. Go to Deductions and Credits.
  4. Go to Personal Property Taxes under Cars and Other Things You Own

CT-1040 Property Tax Credit section not giving me option to add Cars

ok, I realize the problem is bc the limit for the credit is $300 and my property tax is way more than that. No option to add the cars because it wouldn't change the end result. I wanted to enter the car taxes anyway. So I entered my property tax as $10, then I was given the option to add the cars. Then I went back and corrected the property tax to the right number. In the end, it didn't actually change the credit amount because there is a $300 cap. I just prefer to include all the information.
