In the 2023 TurboTax version I do not see the section where it asks me the 4 options of how I pay taxes on my clergy income like I'm used to. I had the 2023 version upload all my info from 2022 version.
Did it not transfer over my "Clergy Business"? Did Intuit change how this is reported - do I have to enter it straight from the Business Taxes, Self-employment tax section??

The federal government changed the business tax codes this year. Click 'Update' next to 'Business Income and Expenses' and 'Edit' next to your business. Click through to the screen that says 'Let's look up your business code'.
Click on the button that says 'Lookup Business Code' and type 'Clergy' into the search bar. That will adjust your business code to the new, correct code (813000) and then you'll get those questions that you're used to.

Most clergy are common law employees and should be paid on a W-2. When you enter the W-2, there is a list of special circumstances, check the box for "religious wages."
If you don't receive a W-2, the business code that used to trigger the clergy housing allowance was 813000. If Turbotax has changed the trigger code, you will have to contact customer support.
Robert, I did that, yes and thanks. The only thing it asked me was how much was my Housing Allowance. That is very different, but hopefully it's correct with the tax code.
Thanks, Opus. I do have a W-2, it was downloaded from Gusto. I can go back and look for that option you mentioned. Thanks!
