Claiming property taxes and maintenance fees on timeshares

I own two timeshares that are paid off. I receive a annual bill for assessments and property taxes for the two timeshares. Is there somewhere that I can take a deduction on those in my fedeal and state taxes?

Claiming property taxes and maintenance fees on timeshares

If you timeshare is used for personal use, then deduct the property taxes under the Your Home section, as a second home.

  • In your open return, select My Account
  • Tools
  • Topic Search
  • Type 'property tax' in the box, then select GO
