I am considering getting solar installed in my home and want to take advantage of the Solar tax credit.
I just purchased a new EV in Feb 2023 that qualifies for the $7500 tax credit.
Curious if there are any issues claiming the full EV tax credit of $7500 and Solar tax credit (30% discount on new installed solar for you home) in the same year 2023? Assuming tax liabilities line 24 on 1040 is greater than the $7500 plus estimating $20,000 for the Solar. Their appear to be less requirements for the Solar tax credit than the EV credit as far as income limits etc but I already qualify for the $7500 EV credit just wanted to make sure there are not any issues with claiming the solar in the same year 2023 tax return.

There is no restriction to using both credits in the same tax year ... the EV credit is used first then the Solar credit. If the entire solar credit cannot be used the excess is carried forward.
