Child tax credit, no 6419 letters

We don't have the 6419 letters, went to the portal and it shows the same amount for my wife an I (married filing joint), if we follow the directions on TT and add both totals from the portal it doubles what we actually got? Do we only add one total in one of the boxes for child tax credit? or split the total and half to each box on the form?

First only enter what you actually got and you can put it all under one person or half under both just don't enter more than what you actually got.
