How can I claim the child care credit when my child care provider doesn't have a SSN because she is not US citizen/resident/permanent resident.
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
You cannot claim the childcare credit without the SSN or EIN from the provider. Your provider could obtain an ITIN for a non-citizen which could be used for the childcare credit.
Without that information, you can't take the credit. Using a Form W-10 will not solve the problem of not having an identifying number.
