I provide child care in my home.  where are the areas for expenses

You do have the correct version of TurboTax (Self-Employed)

Click Federal Taxes (top menu)

Click Income & Expenses (just below top menu)

Scroll down to Self-Employment and select Add or Begin

TurboTax treats small business and self-employment the same way.

You will enter your business income first, then expenses, some of which are in "Less Common Expenses."
