Charitable contributions for 2025 tax season can be taken even if you take the standard deduction; however, turbo tax software does not allow it. Why?

That is for tax year 2026, which you will file next year.

The Big Beautiful Bill provides for deductions up to $2000 in 2025 for charitable contributions (cash). Why doesn't the software take this into account?

This goes into effect for tax year 2026 that you will file next year. It is not in effect for tax year 2025.
