Can you claim medical expenses for elective egg freezing, based on the fact of my age and what I was told by the Dr.?

If this is related to an In Vitro fertilization process, you can claim it as medical expenses.

thank you. For now it isn't... It is just to freeze eggs. Not doing the full in vitro process. I know you can claim in vitro but nothing is said for just selective egg freezing.

If they freeze the eggs due to an infertility diagnosis, I would say it would still be deductible. I do not believe the age has anything to do with that.

I'm single and decided to do this because of the diagnoses for possible future pregnancy. It cost a lot out of pocket and want to make sure before claiming it... thank you!
