If you are an independent contractor, and do not receive a W-2, you will be able to if you file as a small business. If you receive a W-2 you will not.

Live in MN. Work for Company in CA. W-2 has Employer's Address as CA, but lists IL in Box 15. Do I file in CA or IL?
