Can't i claim kids deduction in my CA state tax? in my joined filing(2017) in turbo tax, i don't see deduction for my 2 kids. am i missing steps?

Go back to Federal Taxes, Personal Information, and see what you entered for dependents.  Edit and go through the entries again for each.  If you had a child born during 2017, you should have chosen that the child lived with you all year, as the tax law allows.
