Can't get Armed Services Reservist mileage to be entered on Line 24 of 1040

 In TurboTax, Personal Info section, you will be asked if you are a member of the armed forces and if you have any reserve-related military travel - be sure to select yes if that's your case. Then, please follow steps below:

1. Federal Taxes
2. Deductions & Credits (you may have to select See all tax breaks)
3. Employment Expenses
4. Job-Expenses for W-2 Income - continue through the interview questions and enter any expenses that apply to you (except the travel/miles)  Eventually, you will arrive at the screen any special situations, be sure to select Yes to an Armed Forces Reservist, you'll enter your travel expenses then.
