Can my son's income be included in my filing of my property taxes if he only uses my residence as a mailing address?

He did his taxes using my address.  My property tax refund was revised down to less than half of what I had claimed.  I am a widow and am receiving Veteran's benefits which I do not have to file on.  The income that I filed on is very little so I am assuming they thought my son had to be giving me money (which he definitely did not).

You need to contact the Minnesota Department of Revenue about your Property Taxes and let them know that he did not live with you.

Is your son your dependent?  Does he live with you?

If so, his income is not added for purposes of the Property Tax Refund.
If he is not your dependent, his income would be added UNLESS you are officially charging him rent (and reporting the rent on your tax return).
