Yes, you can still use TurboTax to prepare your tax return now that you are a first time home owner. TurboTax will guide you through questions, so that you can be sure you have entered all your allowed deductions.
The deductions that will be associated with your new home appear on the itemized deduction schedule (Schedule A), so you may need the Deluxe version of TurboTax if your itemized deductions exceed the standard deduction. Don't worry, TurboTax will tell you which deduction, itemized or standard, to take based on how you answer TurboTax's questions.
