no - that is an example of "double dipping" - you already were able to pay those medical expenses with pre-tax money via the HSA; you are not permitted to do so again on the same expense via a medical deduction on Sch A.

No, you can’t claim a deduction for medical expenses if you paid for them with money from a Health Savings Account (HSA). The IRS doesn’t allow you to receive two tax benefits for the same expense.

 

Since HSA contributions are either pre-tax or tax-deductible, and withdrawals used for qualified medical expenses are tax-free, you’ve already received the tax advantage. Claiming those same expenses as a deduction would be considered a duplicate benefit, which isn’t allowed.
